BANGALORE:Even as the State is making all preparations to hold the elections to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Council as per the High Court of Karnataka directions, a resident of Bangalore has challengedthe draft of reservation of wards.
Shyam Sundar on Friday challenged the reservation to Basavanapura and Anjanapura wards.
There are 198 wards in the BBMP Council and the State Government, a few days ago, came out with the reservation of wards.
The case came up before a Division Bench comprising Justice V. Gopala Gowda and Justice B.S. Patil that had, a week ago, directed the State Government to hold elections to the BBMP Council by March 30.
The Bench adjourned the case relating to reservation of wards to Monday.
