Udupi: The Udupi Head Post Office, which has been refurbished under Project Arrow of India Post, will be inaugurated here on October 12.

A press release issued by the Superintendent of Post Offices, Udupi Postal Division, here on Wednesday stated that 58 post offices in the State would be brought under Project Arrow Phase III of India Post this month. Project Arrow aims at revitalising the organisation, capitalising on the strengths, recognising and dealing with weaknesses through sustained, sincere and honest team effort.

The objective was to make a visible, tangible and noteworthy difference in post offices. Of the 58 post offices chosen under the project, 38 post offices have been modernised to create a unique identity and branding. The Project Arrow post offices were refurbished with technology driven multipurpose counters aimed at enhancing customer footfall.

The employees had been trained to ensure customer delight to the maximum extent. India Post intended to cover more post-offices under Project Arrow in days to come. The Postmaster General of South Karnataka Region Vasumithra would inaugurate the refurbished Udupi Head Post Office, the release added.
