The Sadashiv Ayoga Varadi Virodhi Horata Samiti has urged the State government to reject the recommendations of the Sadashiva commission.

Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, conveners of the samiti and the former Mayors Prakash Kyarakatti and Venkatesh Mestri, and State president of Banjara association Pandurang Pammar said the recommendations of the commission were detrimental to the interests of the 99 Scheduled Castes referred to in the report.

Mr. Kyarkatti raised doubts about the veracity of the statistics listed and alleged that the information in the report was prejudiced, false and would create a divide among the Scheduled Castes and Tribes.

The commission also exceeded its mandate by redistributing reservation percentage to various castes, he added.

The samiti would hold a meeting on Sunday in Davangere to chalk out plans for a State-level campaign.

A protest march would be taken out in Hubli on Tuesday to press for their demand, the samiti representatives added.
