The two-day “Mangalore Realty Expo” began in the T.M.A. Pai Convention Centre on Saturday. Apart from builders from Mangalore, those from Udupi and Bangalore are exhibiting their projects ranging from luxury to budget houses.

Around 30 stalls have been put up at the Realty Expo. The one that catches the attention first is the model of villas coming up in Shaktinagar. Each of these villas on an area on around five cents has been priced at about Rs. 1 crore. The builder was displaying the project on an LCD screen.

There were quite a few builders showcasing complexes ranging between 19 and 22 floors. The cost of one such apartment coming up off the Light House Hill Road was priced at around Rs. 4,000 per square feet.

The prices of many of the apartments ranged between Rs. 3,200 to 3,500 per square feet.

A builder was showcasing the project coming up in Vyas Nagar in Kadri which the builder charges Rs. 25 lakh. Another builder was showcasing his row houses coming up near Vishwa Konkani Kendra in Shakti Nagar priced at Rs. 2,500 per square feet.

The expo was inaugurated by the president of CREDAI Mangalore P.M.A Razak.
