Reaching out to Uttarakhand victims

Under its corporate social responsibility programme, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has contributed Rs. 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and employees of BHEL contributed Rs. 6.5 crore for providing relief to those in the flood-ravaged areas of Uttarakhand. At a function organised here recently, Atul Sobti, executive director of BHEL, distributed pushcarts for persons from economically weaker sections and wheelchairs for persons with disabilities, said a release. — Staff Reporter
