Mysore district in-charge Minister S.A. Ramdas filed a recall application on Tuesday at the Fifth Additional First Class Munsif court here in connection with a case filed against him several years ago by the State Government.

The case was filed against Mr. Ramdas and 43 others for staging protests against the decision of the Government to make over land at Makkaji Chowk in the city to a private party, reportedly at a throwaway price.

Public property should always remain with the Government, Mr. Ramdas had contended at the time.

Mr. Ramdas told presspersons that he had been unable to attend the court for the last one and half years for various reasons, and it was his duty to respect the law and the judiciary.
