A motorcycle rally of the Coast Guard personnel to raise awareness about literacy will arrive in Karwar from the New Mangalore Port on Friday. A team of 16 participants from various Coast Guard units under the Coast Guard District Karnataka and two personnel from the Coastal Security Police, Mangalore, will stay overnight in Karwar and the next day they would commence their return journey with a mid-way halt at Bhatkal. The rally has been christened ‘Each One Teach One’ and would pass through Malpe, Bhatkal, Honnavar, and Gangolli in the district. The bikers, in all, would cover 600 km. The return journey would be flagged off by the Commanding Officer ICGS Karwar. — Correspondent
