Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists took out a torchlight procession here on Thursday evening condemning the “anti-Karnataka and anti-Kannada” activities of the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) in Belgaum. The procession was taken out from the Gandhi Park to the Champak Circle. The functionaries while condemning the pro-Maharashtra activities of the MES, demanded that the State Government supersede Belgaum City Corporation council for observing “black day” on November 1. They also condemned the burning of the effigy of Jnanpith award-winner Chandrashekhar Kambar by the MES. Vedike State secretary Jayadevprasanna, district president A.J. Vishwanath and secretary K.
