The State government announced the list of 56 Rajyotsava award winners for the year 2013 late on Wednesday evening.

The recipients are — Literature: Ko Chennabasappa from Davangere, Chandrakantha Kusanoor from Gulbarga, Mallika Ghanti from Bagalkot, K.B. Siddhaiah from Tumkur and Srikanta Kudige from Shimoga.

Theatre: Gajanana Hari Mahale from Dharwad, H.V. Venkatasubbaiah from Bangalore, Na Ratna from Mysore, Florina Bai from Gadag and Shashidhar Adapa from Dakshina Kannada.

Music: Sohan Kumari from Bangalore, Fayaz Khan from Dharwad, Basavaraja Thirukappa Bhajantri from Haveri and Hanumantha Rao Gonawara from Raichur

Dance: M. Shakuntala Hanumanthappa from Chikmagalur; folk: Shanti Naik from Uttara Kannada, Yelisowwa Madara from Davangere, Bannur Kempama from Mysore, Mahadevappa Monappa Badigera from Bagalkot and Sharanappa Vadageri from Koppal.

Yakshagana-Bailata: K.M. Raghava Nabiar from Udupi, Narayana Hasyagara Nellikatte from Kasaragod, Rayappa Sangappa Kumbhara from Bagalkot and Lakshmibai Salahalli from Belgaum.

Social work: Soolagitti Narasamma from Tumkur, Kondajji B. Shanmugappa from Davangere, Maina Gopalakrishna from Mysore, T. Raja from Bangalore and Basavalingappa S. Jamakhandi from Bagalkot.

Kannadiga Diaspora: Doctor Aarthi Krishna settled in the U.S. Outstanding achievement: Harekala Hajabba from Dakshina Kannada, Ishwar Chandra Chintamani from Bijapur and Sugayya Hiremath from Yadgir.

Institutions: Shaheen Educational Institution at Bidar and B.B. Bannada Janapada Kala Mela at Gadag.
