BANGALORE: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday flagged off the Rajiv Jyoti Yatra launched by the KPCC Labour Department chief S.S. Prakasam.

The yatra would pass through Ramanagaram, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Kochi, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Villupuram, Puducherry and Chennai and reach Sriperumbudur on May 21. It would be received by the Tamil Nadu Pradesh Congress Committee president K.V. Thangabalu.

He said that Rahul Gandhi, MP, had given a call to the youth that the National Flag should be their religion and it was the duty of one and all to preserve unity and integrity of the country.

A large number of people, mostly women, who waited under the scorching sun for nearly one hour shouted slogans condemning terrorists' activities.
