SHIMOGA: The water level in the Linganamakki and the Bhadra reservoirs in Shimoga district is just five feet below the maximum reservoir level.

The water level slightly receded in the Linganamakki Reservoir compared to Monday and stood at 1813.40 feet as against the maximum level of 1819 feet on Tuesday. The water level in the Bhadra Reservoir stood at 181.09 feet on Tuesday as against the maximum reservoir level of 186 feet. The rainfall in the district in the last 24 hours was uneven. While Hosnagar taluk received 20.2 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, there was no rain in Bhadravati taluk.
