HUBLI: Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), which has always involved itself actively in agitations and movements related to issues concerning Karnataka, has said that the Hogenakkal drinking water project should be put on hold till a new elected government assumed office in Karnataka.

In a release issued here, KCCI honorary secretary Basavaraj H. Byali has urged the Union Government to intervene immediately and take steps to defer the drinking water project.

Demonstration

Members of the Gajanan Mahamandal staged a demonstration in Hubli on Friday and burnt posters of Tamil films and copies of a few Tamil newspapers.
