Under the banner of Karnataka State Budga-Jangama Welfare Association, hundreds of members of the Budga-Jangama community held a procession and later staged a dharna in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday demanding issue of caste certificates to students of the community. Leaders of the association alleged that the authorities in Kolar are acting against the interests of the tribe by refusing to issue certificates despite a Government order.
