Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged a protest here on Thursday, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and the dissolution of the Assembly. “The Bharatiya Janata Party government has lost majority after two Ministers and 12 MLAs resigned.

Mr. Shettar should resign and dissolve the Assembly,” they said.
