BIDAR: Members of Karnadu Pragatipara Horata Samiti, Bidar, blocked the movement of the Nanded-Bangalore Link Express at the city railway station here on Monday.

In a memorandum addressed to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, they demanded that more funds be allocated for the Bidar-Gulbarga railway line project, the Palmadu Express be extended to Bidar and that an intercity express be started. They also demanded priority for Kannadigas during recruitment to group “D” jobs in the Railway and issuing of railway applications in Kannada.
