The Hassan police which is investigating the murder of a woman here on Monday suspect that a property dispute may be the reason behind the crime.

Tejaswini (35), who was found murdered at her residence at Chikkahonnenahalli, had a dispute with her brothers over sharing their ancestral property in Bangalore. The dispute had reached the court and the judgment was in her favour. According to sources, a police team has been sent to Bangalore for further investigation.

Ravi D. Channnanavar told The Hindu that the investigating officers had got some clues and were working on them. “I am confident we will arrest the culprits within a week,” he said.
