A music concert showcasing the compositions of Mysore C. Rangaiah has been organised in Bangalore on Saturday.
The event would also mark the 120th birth anniversary of Rangaiah. Vidushi Sukanya Prabhakar would render the compositions, accompanied by C.N. Chandrashekar on the violin and Anooru Anantakrishna Sharma on the mridangam, patron of ‘Rangasmruti’, a centre for music and fine arts at Jayalakshmipuram here, B.J. Ranganath, said in a press release on Thursday.
Bharatnatyam dancer K. Brunda would be felicitated on the occasion. V. Shyama Prakash, president, Keshava Samskruti Sabha, Bangalore, would be the chief guest, Dr. Ranganath said. The programme would be held at the Samskruti Bhavana at ISRO Layout, Bangalore at 5 p.m.
