BANGALORE: Governor Rameshwar Thakur on Friday indicated that the State Government might seek the services of professionals to formulate and also implement its programmes.

Addressing a joint session of the legislature, the Governor said the Government was considering seeking the advice and services of experts and professionals in the process of planning and implementing programmes.

He invited suggestions from legislators on governance reforms and ways and means of tackling corruption.

He observed that governance reforms played a key role in bringing about transformation in the lives of the people.

The governor’s speech was nothing but a concise version of the BJP’s election manifesto titled “Sankalpa”. All the measures announced in the Governor’s speech have been mentioned in the poll manifesto. The only difference was that the speech did not go into details of the schemes.
