MYSORE: Students or their parents need not go to the tahsildar’s office anymore to obtain caste or income certificates.

Henceforth, the certificates will be sent to the educational institutions where the students are studying.

The office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mysore, stated that students from class five and ten should submit their applications in the prescribed forms to the respective heads of institutions along with a fee of Rs. 15. They will subsequently forward the applications to the Block Education Officer (BEO) concerned. The BEO will send the forms to the tahsildar of the respective taluk. The tahasildar, after scrutiny of the applications, will send the certificates to the heads of institutions, who will distribute them among the students.

A press release from the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that May 30 was the last date for students to submit the applications.
