Primatologist Mewa Singh will speak on ‘Distribution and conservation of wild mammals’ at Mysore zoo on September 10 at 4.15 p.m.

Dr. Singh has been engaged in wildlife research for the last four decades. Though a specialist on primates, he has also worked on research on other mammals. He is recognised as a fellow by all three national science academies of India and has published around 200 research papers, a release from the zoo said.

The release said that Dr. Singh would cover distribution patterns of wild mammals in the State and conservation challenges faced by various species in his lecture in addition to discussing past, ongoing and future management strategies for each species or a group of species.
