Bijapur: Regional Commissioner C.M. Shirol has instructed the officers concerned to prepare an action plan to provide drinking water, electricity and other amenities in villages of the district where flood-affected people have been relocated and submit it to the Government. Presiding over a meeting of district-level officers to review progress of rehabilitation work in the flood-affected villages here on Tuesday, he instructed the officers to write a letter to organisations constructing houses for the flood victims about the facilities being extended by the administration.

Mr. Shirol instructed the officers to initiate measures to vacate people who have encroached on land meant for shifting of flood-affected villages. The meeting also decided to drop the idea of shifting Nandger village in Sindagi taluk and decided to construct a bridge across the Don.
