New Fisheries Deputy Director takes charge

M.D. Prakash has taken over as the new Deputy Director of Fisheries. He replaces Suresh Kumar Ullal, who has been posted as the Managing Director of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District Cooperative Fish Marketing Federation. Mr. Prakash took charge on September 11, according to an official press release.

Wrestling champions

Rosario PU College and the Alvas PU College were adjudged as overall champions in the men’s and women’s category respectively in District-level Inter Collegiate Wrestling Tournament held on Wednesday. The Yenepoya PU College and the Shree Gokarnanath PU College have been adjudged as the runner’s up teams in the men’s and women’s categories. As many as 20 teams participated in the tournament held at the Rosario College Grounds.
