BANGALORE: If you usually related loans to banks, well it is time to change associations.
The Karnataka Postal Circle on Monday launched a “financial inclusion” programme along with Janalakshmi Financial Services, a private organisation that gives loans to the urban poor.
Under this scheme, people who want to avail themselves of loans from the company will have to open a savings account with the Frazer Town post office. Forty-five women received pass books for their post office accounts and cheques of Rs. 10,000 each at the inaugural event.
