What was supposed to be a workshop to justify the filing of criminal cases against Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) engineers by the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) turned out to be a damp squib with just one engineer and one administrative official turning up on Thursday.

Of the around 250 BBMP officials, only Special Commissioner (Project) B.G. Nandakumar and Chief Engineer (East) K.S. Krishnaswamy showed up. Though Mr. Sharma said the BBMP had been intimated in advance, Mr. Nandakumar said the letters should have been sent at least a week before.
