At an interaction programme here on Friday, district representatives of political parties promised schemes for the overall development of the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency if their candidates are elected in the general elections.
District Congress committee president M.S. Atmananda requested voters to continue their support to the Congress as “it is the only party that could bring development in the district.”

Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha leader Konasale Narasaraju described Congress candidate Ramya as “one of the best MPs elected from Mandya.” “When she [Ms. Ramya] approached us seeking support during the byelections, we had doubts about her performance. But, she effectively presented the plight of the sugarcane growers in the Lok Sabha. ” Mr. Nagaraju said. Leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Social Democratic Party of India, Bahujan Samaj Party, and Aam Aadmi Party accused the Congress, BJP and the JD (S) for neglecting people’s woes.
