“A healthy child is an asset to the country and by administering polio drops to children we are contributing to build a healthy nation,” said Anand Asnotikar, Minister of Fisheries, Science and Technology. He was addressing the Pulse Polio programme here. All parents should administer polio drops to children within five years and make India a polio-free country, he said. Nazeer Ahmad Sheikh of Indian Red Cross said that everybody should work towards making the polio-administering drive successful. Dr. Sharad Nayak asked parents to administer polio drops to children maximum number of times. Later, information on the polio eradication drive was provided to those present at the awareness programme. Fairoj Begum Sheikh was present.
