“The government has been neglecting the demands of the Police Department and has not provided better facilities at work for police personnel,” Governor H.R. Bhardwaj said at the valedictory of the third All-India Police Housing Conference here on Friday.

He said family members of police personnel also need to be provided better facilities such as housing and schools.

Summarising the two-day event, M.N. Reddi, CMD, Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation Ltd., said the conference led to a realisation that the way forward was to implement new technology in construction of housing.
