Ahead of the Railway Budget for 2011-12, a joint legislature committee headed by Legislative Council Chairman D.H. Shankaramurthy will meet Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee in a few days in the national capital to seek clearances on various pending and upcoming projects in the State.

Projects discussed

The committee held a meeting here on Thursday and discussed various pending railway projects. Mr. Shankaramurthy told presspersons that the committee decided submit a memorandum to Ms. Bannerjee demanding announcement sanction for several pending railway projects, survey of three projects and introduction of trains on few routes in the Railway budget.
