Inspector-General of Police K.S.R. Charan Reddy has stated that the committee formed to probe the hoisting of the Pakistani flag in Sindagi town in Bijapur on January 1, has submitted its final report.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, he said the report clearly states that members of a pro-Hindutva organisation were involved in the act and the police have already arrested them. The motive behind the act was to create communal tensions to gain publicity. “The charge-sheet will be filed after receiving necessary orders from the authorities concerned,” he added.
