38,697 children were administered Pulse Polio drops on Monday
On day two of the national Pulse Polio immunisation campaign, vaccinators went door to door to administer drops to children who were not given the vaccine on Sunday.
Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) said the vaccinators covered 5,31,281 houses and administered Pulse Polio drops to 38,697 children on Monday.
Of the targeted 6.51 lakh children in the city, 5,51,337 children were covered on Sunday.
“We had covered 84.75 per cent on Sunday. Now, after covering 38,697 children on the first day of the door-to-door campaign, we havemanaged to achieve 90.69 per cent,” according to an official.
The door-to-door Pulse Polio campaign will continue across the State for another two days.
