Lt. Gen. S.C. Sardeshpande (retd.), who is also a writer, has lashed out at the organisers of the Sahitya Sambhrama literary festival to be held here for not including sessions on war and military at the three-day event.

Speaking at the Army Day function, jointly organised by the Karnatak Vidyavardhak Sangha (KVS) and Sa. Shri. Kumoan Pratishthan, Lt. Gen. Sardeshpande said he had spoken to the event organisers in this regard but they ignored him.

Lt. Gen. Mr. Sardeshpande said it was a pity that organisers of the event did not know the importance of these subjects.Documentaries related to Indian Military Academy, Light Infantry and others were screened on the occasion. Retired defence officers Mohan Math, Vasant Vayi, S.G. Bhagawat and others were present at the function.
