Their tactics will not affect BJP's confidence: Yeddyurappa
Unable to tolerate the development works taken up by the State Government , the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and the former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy are trying to destabilise the BJP Government by wooing the party MLAs, Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has alleged.
He was speaking after inaugurating a programme organised by the district administration and district Women and Child Welfare Department to distribute bonds and saris to beneficiaries of Bhagyalakshmi scheme, on Sainik School premises here on Saturday. Mr. Yeddyurappa urged the people of the State to give a clear mandate to the BJP in the coming elections and show the Opposition parties their place for trying to destabilise the BJP Government.
“Such tactics of the Opposition parties will not affect the confidence of the BJP, and the Government will continue to launch programmes that will benefit people,” he said. Mr. Yeddyurappa said that Bhagyalakshmi scheme aims to empower women and encourage poor families to educate the girl child.
He distributed saris and bonds to 21 beneficiaries of the scheme on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that 59,480 beneficiaries would receive bonds for Rs. 1 lakh each and 54,589 beneficiaries would receive saris from the officers concerned.
Earlier, Mr. Yeddyurappa performed ‘Ganga puja' at the Alamatti dam and offered ‘bagina' to the Krishna.
