Bangalore: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson V.S. Ugrappa, MLC K.C. Kondaiah and the former Minister Diwakar Babu on Wednesday demanded that Obulapuram Mining Company owner and Tourism Minister G. Janardhana Reddy furnish details of the iron ore exported by his company without permits in the last two years. Addressing presspersons, Mr. Ugrappa urged him to provide information on the iron ore “illegally” exported from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Questioning Mr. Reddy's claim that he was innocent, Mr. Ugrappa asked why then did he oppose investigation by the CBI into the allegations against his company. It was strange that Mr. Reddy, who demanded CBI investigation into the Rs.150-crore mining bribery charge H.D. Kumaraswamy, challenged the order by the Andhra Pradesh Government for it.
