HASSAN: Minister for Public Works and Energy H.D. Revanna here on Wednesday directed authorities of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited not to impose power cuts during evening hours in view of PUC examination facilitating students to continue their studies.

The Minister who conducted a review meeting in view of the proposed visit of the Chief Minister to Hassan on Friday, directed officials to ensure that there would be no drinking water scarcity in villages and urban towns.

If case there was water scarcity and taps went dry, they have been asked to provide water through mini drinking water supply schemes and through bore wells.

Deputy Commissioner K.H. Aswathanarayana Gowda, zilla panchayat CEO F.R. Jamaadar, Superintendent of Police Panduranga Rane and Additional Superintendent of Police Thammaiah attended the meeting.
