The KLES Hospitals Employees’ Union has intensified its agitation against the alleged exploitation of nurses. A procession was taken out here on Saturday.

“There are nearly 600 nurses in hospitals run by the KLES and they are working under stressful conditions. They are asked to work for long hours and they are not given overtime allowance. Their salary is too low and they are not provided any other benefits,” Union general secretary Sai Patil alleged.

Union president V.P. Kulkarni demanded that the management listen to the problems of the employees.
