Bangalore: The Bharatiya Janata Party State unit on Monday asserted that it will not have any tie-up with the AIADMK in the coming Assembly elections.

The BJP central leadership had reportedly expressed its willingness to heed a request by the AIADMK for a seat-sharing agreement in Karnataka. However, BJP State president D.V. Sadananda Gowda and its spokesman S. Suresh Kumar on Monday made it clear that the party would go it alone in all the 224 Assembly constituencies of the State.

Sources in the BJP State unit said that the party had already conveyed its decision to its national general secretary and also State elections in-charge Arun Jaitley.
