‘He is free to meet Party central leaders’

Despite the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa mooting a seat-sharing arrangement and talking of a floor coordination with it in the Assembly, BJP State president Pralhad Joshi on Thursday insisted that there was “no proposal before the party State unit on bringing him back into the party or forge an alliance with him”.

When his attention was drawn to Mr. Yeddyurappa’s public comments on willingness to have a seat-sharing arrangement, he said: “He has reportedly told the media that he would talk to the BJP central leaders on such issues. He is free to talk to them.”

He sought to downplay the episode of the BJP working in coordination with the KJP. “Floor coordination came mainly due to the common cause,” he said.
