Hyderabad Karnataka and parts of Bombay Karnataka continued to reel under severe heatwave conditions with the mercury crossing the 40-degree Celsius mark in Gulbarga, and Bellary recording 40 degrees Celsius.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Gulbarga recorded the maximum temperature in the State with 41 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday too, Gulbarga recorded the maximum temperature in the State with 41 degrees Celsius.
There was a slight increase in the minimum temperature in Gulbarga.
It went up to 25 degrees Celsius on Thursday from 24 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
In other districts
Koppal, Bidar and Raichur in Hyderabad Karnataka region recorded the maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, and Bijapur, Gadag and Dharwad 39, 38 and 37 degrees Celsius.
Bidar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, followed by Koppal with 23 degrees Celsius, and Raichur and Bellary districts 24 degrees Celsius.
Belgaum airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the State with 17 degree Celsius.
