To prevent gridlocks on busy Bellary Road, the Bangalore City Traffic police have decided to block ‘exits' from Palace Grounds on the Bellary Road side from March 15. However, the entry points to Palace Grounds will not change.

A large number of vehicles enter and exit Palace Grounds during weekends and cause massive gridlocks on the road during peak hours.

Exits blocked

According to a release from the Police Department, it has been decided to block the exits at Krishna Vihar Gate, Tripura Vasini, White Petals Gate, Gayathri Vihar, Nalappad Gate, Grand Castle, Sheesh Mahal, Sringar Palace and Princes Academy on Bellary Road side (Ramana Maharshi Road) from March 15.

The motorists must use exits at Amanulla Khan Gate, Circus Ground Gate and Mavina Kayi Mandi Gate on Jayamahal Road, the release said.
