The Manipal regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2012 witnessed one of the most exciting and enthralling battle of wits at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) here on Tuesday.

The team from NITK-Surathkal comprising Chaitanya and Samrat edged out Nil Jadhav and Vikas Rao of T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) to make it to the national finals to be held in Mumbai on April 8. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, Director of MIT Kumkum Garg felicitated the winners with a cash prize of Rs. 75,000. The winning team from the Manipal regional round will now compete with the regional winners from 23 other cities. The runners-up team from TAPMI won Rs. 35,000. The Manipal regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2012 saw participation of 200 teams at the preliminary rounds. The top six teams which qualified for the regional stage rounds were NIT-K Surathkal; TAPMI; Manipal Institute of Commerce; NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte; NITK College – MBA; and NITK – Surathkal.
