PANAJI: The BJP national president Nitin Gadkari will arrive in Goa on a two-day visit on Thursday.

Mr. Gadkari's visit, which will be the first after he assumed charge as BJP national president, will have a packed programme, said Lakshmikant Parsekar, Goa BJP president and MLA, here on Tuesday.

On his arrival at Dabolim airport in south Goa on Thursday at 7.30 a.m., he will be accorded a grand welcome by the party workers from Vasco and Mormugao Assembly constituencies of south Goa.

On Thursday, Mr. Gadkari will meet some invitees at Mapusa in north Goa along with local MLA of the BJP Francisco D'Souza. This will be followed by a meeting with party MLAs, zilla president and office-bearers of the BJP at the party office in Panaji.

On Friday, he is scheduled to interact with editors of local newspapers in the afternoon and at 4.30 p.m., will address a meeting organised by the BJP in the city. He will leave Goa on Saturday morning.
