Government buildings will henceforth have three or four-star Green Ratings for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA), announced Chief Secretary S.V. Ranganath. Speaking at the Green Building Regional Conference and Exhibition here on Friday, he said urbanisation had challenged efforts towards better environment conservation. “The Government understands the need to tackle the challenge and also bring about changes in building bylaws of the urban local bodies in the State.”

The conference was organised by TERI and ADARSH.
