The 41st National Safety Day will be observed here on Friday. Deputy Director of Factories, Mysore, B.V. Ravi Kumar said in a statement here that Amarjeet Singh, factory manager, Nestle India Ltd., Nanjangud, would flag off a safety march from Jaganmohan Palace at 8 a.m. The march would touch Ramaswamy Circle, MUDA office and return to the palace at 9 a.m. The safety flag would be unfurled by Rohit Mehta, general manager, L&T, Mysore, at 9 a.m.

The main function would start at 10 a.m. during which a safety pledge would be administered to the participants and a safety report read out. Deputy Commissioner P.S. Vastrad would be the chief guest. H. Srinivasaiah, Director, Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, would preside over the function. The Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Government of Karnataka; National Institute of Personnel Management, Mysore Chapter; and Nanjangud Industries Association, are jointly organising the event.
