The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs. 236.18 crore as loan assistance to the State government for building 82 minor irrigation structures, 189 rural roads and 42 rural bridges in different districts.

These projects have been sanctioned under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund by the Project Sanctioning Committee at a meeting held here recently, said a bank release. With this, the total sanction to the State under RIDF XVIII stood at Rs. 264.68 crore. The 82 minor irrigation projects are expected to enhance irrigation potential to the extent of 5,852 hectares, the release said.
