The five-day K.K. Murthy Memorial Music Festival 2013, organized by the Academy of Music, will start here from November 6 at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall in Vyalikaval.

There will be lecture demonstrations every morning from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. A lobby concert will be held at 4.45 p.m. every day except on November 10. The festival will commence with a concert by Manjula Surendra and troupe at 6 p.m. and conclude with a vocal concert by T.V. Sankaranarayanan and party at 7.30 p.m. The following performances will be staged during the week:

November 7 – Evening concert featuring Hindustani vocals by Sangeeta Katti Kulkarni and party at 6 p.m.

November 8 –Carnatic vocal concert by Vani Sateesh and party at 6 p.m., followed by violin duet by Ganesh and Kumaresh.

November 9 – Hindustani vocal by Dattatreya Velankar and party at 6 p.m., followed by Hindustani Mohan Veena concert by Vishwa Mohan Bhat. November 10 – The Academy’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Awards,2013’ at 6 p.m.
