Bangalore: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa allocated Rs. 65.55 crore to various Hindu religious and Muzarai institutions, some of which are outside the State.

He also allocated Rs.16 crore to Muslim organisations, in the budget announced on Friday.

He allocated Rs. 207 crore for minorities' welfare, Rs. 40 crore more than last year.

He said that tasdeek allowance given towards the maintenance of 27,000 Hindu religious and Muzrai institutions in the State would be enhanced to Rs.1,000.
