BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Friday said that the monsoon session of the State legislature will commence from June 24.

Speaking to presspersons after a meeting with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders in Bangalore, he said the duration of the session would be finalised soon.

He said his Government's second anniversary titled saadhana samaavesha would be organised at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore on June 18. A convention of the newly elected village panchayat members would be held on June 19, he said.

Saturday meet

When asked about the ministerial expansion, he only said that the issue may come up for discussion at a meeting of party leaders scheduled on Saturday. Meanwhile, sources in the party said that the ministerial expansion would not be taken up till the Rajya Sabha elections are over.
