House burgled

A house in the ISAAC Layout near Jnanabharathi was broken into late on Saturday while its owners were away. The thieves made away with cash, jewellery and valuables worth over Rs. 2.5 lakh.

According to the Jnanabharathi police, Ramakrishna and his wife had left the house around 2 p.m. on Saturday to distribute the invitation cards for their son's wedding. When the couple returned around 10 p.m., they found the door ajar and valuables missing.

The police suspect that the thieves must have known about the forthcoming wedding in the family and that valuables had been kept in the house.
