Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M. Veerappa Moily on Wednesday said the Congress could win the byelection to Koppal Assembly Constituency if money and muscle power are not put to use by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He was speaking to reporters after inaugurating a two-day workshop on poet Ratnakaravarni, organised by the BNES College here.
Mr. Moily said the Congress has a good chance as the electorate was fed up with allegations of corruption against the leaders of the BJP.
On the controversial Lokpal Bill, Mr. Moily hoped that it would be tabled during the winter session of Parliament.
Importance of language
The Union Minister exhorted the students to master the Kannada language to achieve excellence in other languages. BNES Institutions' secretary K.E. Radhakrishna, critique H.S. Raghavendra Rao and others were present.
