A judicial inquiry headed by retired Karnataka High Court judge Mohan Kumar will on Friday submit a report to the Government on the multi-crore coal import scam that occurred between 2002 and 2009 in the State-owned Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS). The BJP Government appointed the commission of inquiry following the Janata Dal (S) allegations of corruption in coal purchases.

All the three major political parties, the Congress, the Janata Dal (S) and the BJP, were in power between 2002 and 2009.
